•  Reported and anchored 29 news briefs that aired on the 12th largest media market in the country

• Conducted video interviews, wrote broadcast news scripts and edited stories on deadline using Adobe Premiere Pro

• I pitched constructive, solutions-based story ideas to showcase unheard voices from people who are working to improve their communities

• I filmed on location for most of these stories and edited them on a deadline using software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Audition 

• When the class went virtual, I anchored from home using a green screen, lighting kit and camera equipment provided by the University 

 

Advanced Reporting Class

• As part of my Advanced Reporting class at USF, I served as a social media reporter for Hashtag Our Stories, a global social media publisher that gets 7 million views a day

• Using Adobe Premiere Pro and Snapchat’s Story Studio CMS, I edited a vertical video story with captions and fact boxes

• I helped host a radio event to tell stories about people living in Sarasota’s historic African American community, Newtown, for air on Tampa’s NPR sister station, WUSF

• I conducted research, pre-interviews and wrote interview questions for the event.

• During the event, I conducted an audio interview

• I transcribed the interview and selected compelling sound bites that helped tell a story about living in Newtown

 

WFTS (ABC Affiliate)

• I had the opportunity to intern at a station in the 12th largest media market in the country during a 10 week program where I rotated throughout different positions at the station

• I ran teleprompter during live newscasts

• I have knowledge of technical directing using systems such as "Ignite" 

• Experience floor directing during live newscasts

• During the end of the program, I was able to go out on the field with reporters and shadow them during their stories
